MECHANICAL MOVEMENT RING // PAUA NACRE INLAY
Price range: 59,00 € through 299,00 €
// CONCEPT & RECONSTRUCTION
Born from the collision between mid-century mechanical horology and organic oceanic specimen art, this wearable relic repurposes authentic vintage watch calibres into an intimate kinetic sculpture. By stripping away traditional casing, the raw internal mechanics—plates, brass train wheels, winding pinions, and oscillating balance assemblies—are exposed directly to physical touch.
Recessed within the mainspring barrel seat is a precision-cut natural abalone shell (Paua nacre) cabochon. Featuring an organic, rippled texture and intense multidirectional iridescence, the shell reflects vibrant oceanic colors beneath ambient light. This natural mineral luster creates a sharp, dynamic contrast against aged gear trains and synthetic ruby jewel bearings, fusing industrial discipline with raw marine topography.
// CRAFTSMANSHIP & DETAILS
- Authentic Vintage Movements: Hand-curated mechanical calibres showcasing exposed escapements, balance wheels, and gear trains preserved in their raw functional geometry.
- Natural Abalone Core: Polished natural Paua shell cabochon inlaid flush into the circular barrel recess, displaying dynamic ripples and shifting spectral hues.

A friend saw it on my hand and immediately asked where I got it. Sent them the link right away

Secretly my favorite fidget ring during endless Zoom meetings. Feeling the exposed balance bridge and the smooth mirror surface of the wafer die keeps me grounded.

The mother of pearl piece only really shines when you look at it from a specific angle. Normally it doesn’t reflect light or glow at all.

Got the wine red edition for my partner as a small surprise 🎁. He loves old mechanics and wears this ring to work every day .

Con la luce normale sembra un blu calmo, ma sotto il sole si vedono splendide sfumature verdi, Fatto molto bene

Pairs nicely with my other plain silver rings . The purple shell adds just a small touch of color without being too loud.

The pearl disc shines the most under direct sunlight. Really liked it, so I decided to order the chip version too.
